Collaborations are Key to Non-Prophet Planet-Saving Success!

Being an experienced grant writer for nonprofits, I always tell fund seekers –even with “local projects”– to collaborate with other similar initiatives around the world, since funders are more likely to fund projects that have a larger profile (as this reflects on them and enables validation). Leaders or prophets are not necessary to drive success in the traditional sense; each collaborator contributes to a project in transparent overlaid ways, as many supporters are there simply to learn in the course of shared interests.

Modern online movements for the sake of salvaging the planet’s web of life from destruction will succeed more quickly as more collaborators define their roles as active ones. Environmental information is widely available, and needs more than a prophet for promotion. Prioritizing and decision-making must be optimized by information overlays and triage. Aligning and linking efforts will enable attention to be focused on saving what we can, now. So I am actively looking for opportunities to associate with others interested in undoing the individual and corporate undoing of the planet.

Happy Earth Day 2012 and many happier returns of the day!
